Paddy Power RIP (2015-2016)

Image
Paddy Power had already partially restricted my account (read here ) but now comes the full restriction. So the good times lasted from from the 29th of April 2015 up until the 19th Feb 2016. Withdrawals totalled €3,209.93 on an initial deposit of €20 and a €100 top up. It financed a trip to Canada for me, a brand new sofa for the family and helped out with a lot of bills and also spending money for the holidays. Read through my blog for tips and advice on getting the most from your bookie too - it is possible to make this without much knowledge of betting or sports. It just takes a few tricks to use the bookie's free bet offers and promotions to turn it in your favour. Reading forums and message boards there seems to have been a big cull of winning accounts. The logical reason is that Cheltenham is coming up and Paddy Power are probably planning some very good promotions for then and don't want to be fleeced by their regular winners - so as I said, read thro...

Matched Betting

So I have been running strategies on bookie's promotions to try and extract profit. For example horses , accumulators ,  football  and tennis  promotions. It turns out that most of my systems were just matched betting without the matched part! Matched betting is a real thing and even has a wiki page  on the real wiki. There are lots of websites and thousands of people making money off matched betting - for example Profit Accumulator  and MatchedBettingBlog . There is even an app for it. My strategies compared to matched betting My system assumed a cost per qualifying bet of about 10%, this seems to be the norm for matched betters as well but with a bit of time spent looking for close odds in the exchanges matched betters can probably get this cost down. Matched betters need not stick to the favourites either, on my qualifying bets if I moved past the odds on favourites then the cost per bet increased, matched betters can find quite good matches for odds...

Horses Money Back 2nd, 4/1+ Winners, 3/1+ Winners, 2nd to SP

Free Bets. You have got to believe that every time you place a bet you are giving money to the bookie's. Yes you win some, and lose some but in the long run the bookie has set up the odds with an edge in their favour. Depending on if you like to bet on favourites or underdogs you could be losing 10% to 50% of your stake in the long run. This is true unless the bookie is giving you something back in return - like a free bet. At the moment both Ladbrokes and Will Hill have been offering money back as a free bet if the horse you backed to win finishes second. This is usually available for the Channel 4 races. Paddy Power have been offering money back too, but only if 2nd to the SP favourite. Coral have started offering your stake back as a free bet but this time if your 3/1+ pick  wins . Betfair sometimes have a similar offer. Bet365 have the same offer as Coral but your odds have to be 4/1 or longer to qualify. Other online bookie's like Betfred, sportingbet, S...

Boo Betfred

My online bookie accounts have been restricted on 888sport (read here ), betway ( here ) and Paddy Power ( here ). So I was looking for a new site to make some money off. Betfred looked like some nice offers so I funded my Betfred account with €50. And two days later I was barred by them too! In total I had made €12 profit, I was barred over a €12 profit. Not only was I barred though. The promotions that I was playing to make a profit were taken down. The Promotions Below are the two promotions that I used on Betfred before they barred me. This is my favourite promotion. The Money Back 2nd . Here you bet on a horse at 3/1 or shorter - I have analysed the past results and these horses are likely to either win or win a free bet.  Put your free bet on something like 9/2 - this will maximise your profit from the free bets. The second Betfred promotion that I liked was the Bet 3 Get 1 Free Bet on the tennis. This is very similar to the Betway promotions that ...

Bet 20, Get 10. Get Barred!

So you may be following my bets. The bookie's certainly are. 888sport , betway and now Paddy Power have added restrictions on my account. See below: I have highlighted the Bet 20, get 10 promo before . I have done quite well on it. I have over €2000 profit off PaddyPower - and this promo and another promo on the horses have been the main driving force behind my profits. For those of you that are not banned, Paddy Power are offering this promotion on the Live TV games this weekend - Norwich vs Liverpool and Everton vs Swansea. My tips are below and hopefully it makes some pocket money for you like it has for me, but I give no guarantees. Mathematically the odds are in your favour but its still gambling and you can still lose short term before your free bet winnings start to build up long term. 1. Place your real money €20 bet on something safe, even split is across a number of safe bets. For example €10 on Draw at 30 mins @8/13 and €10 on Liverpool to b...

Euro 2016 Draw

So with the draw tomorrow I thought I would do a quick article. Team Bookie Rating Elo Ranking Pot 1 France 7/2 8 Germany 7/2 1 Spain 5/1 4 Belgium 9/1 10 England 12/1 7 Portugal 18/1 11 Pot 2 Italy 16/1 15 Croatia 25/1 17 Austria 40/1 21 Russia 66/1 24 Ukraine 66/1 16 Switzerland 80/1 18 Pot 3 Sweden 66/1 27 Poland 66/1 24 Czech Republic 70/1 29 Romania 125/1 32 Slovakia 200/1 33 Hungary 200/1 41 Pot 4 Turkey 66/1 19 Wales 66/1 45 Iceland 80/1 46 Ireland 100/1 26 Albania 300/1 60 N. Ireland 300/1 65 I have rearranged the order of the teams (you will mostly see them ranked in order of UEFA Coefficient). The new order based on the bookie's rating of the teams makes it easier to pick out the soft draws. I also include the ELO Ranking as its usually regarded as a more accurate rank ahead of the FIFA Ranking or the UEFA Coefficient. The bookie's make cart loads of cash and have banks of statistics to back up their odds so I tend to side wit...

Will Hill feeling Charitable

Image
So William Hill are getting into the spirit of the Christmas Season. They are copying Paddy Power's promotion on the horses - giving money back as a free bet if your horse is second. The key differences between the William Hill offer and Paddy Power is that William Hill are only giving money back on your first qualifying bet. With Paddy Power you could pick two or three horses per race and hedge your bets.  The other major difference is that free bets dont earn free bets. With Paddy Power if your free bet runs in second then you got your free bet back again. With William Hill you will miss this opportunity. I found this offer very profitable under Paddy Power, and despite the added limitations with William Hill's version I still plan on making money off this. The new strategy will be. 1. Bet on the favourite in each race (provided he is 3/1 or under) - to earn money or a free bet if 2nd.  2. With free bets back 9/2 horses. See the table below base...
