Paddy Power RIP (2015-2016)

Paddy Power had already partially restricted my account (read here ) but now comes the full restriction. So the good times lasted from from the 29th of April 2015 up until the 19th Feb 2016. Withdrawals totalled €3,209.93 on an initial deposit of €20 and a €100 top up. It financed a trip to Canada for me, a brand new sofa for the family and helped out with a lot of bills and also spending money for the holidays. Read through my blog for tips and advice on getting the most from your bookie too - it is possible to make this without much knowledge of betting or sports. It just takes a few tricks to use the bookie's free bet offers and promotions to turn it in your favour. Reading forums and message boards there seems to have been a big cull of winning accounts. The logical reason is that Cheltenham is coming up and Paddy Power are probably planning some very good promotions for then and don't want to be fleeced by their regular winners - so as I said, read thro...

Matched Betting

So I have been running strategies on bookie's promotions to try and extract profit. For example horses , accumulators ,  football  and tennis  promotions. It turns out that most of my systems were just matched betting without the matched part! Matched betting is a real thing and even has a wiki page  on the real wiki. There are lots of websites and thousands of people making money off matched betting - for example Profit Accumulator  and MatchedBettingBlog . There is even an app for it. Matched betters need not stick to the favourites either, on my qualifying bets if I moved past the odds on favourites then the cost per bet increased, matched betters can find quite good matches for odds...

Free Bets. You have got to believe that every time you place a bet you are giving money to the bookie's. Yes you win some, and lose some but in the long run the bookie has set up the odds with an edge in their favour. Depending on if you like to bet on favourites or underdogs you could be losing 10% to 50% of your stake in the long run. This is true unless the bookie is giving you something back in return - like a free bet. At the moment both Ladbrokes and Will Hill have been offering money back as a free bet if the horse you backed to win finishes second. This is usually available for the Channel 4 races. Paddy Power have been offering money back too, but only if 2nd to the SP favourite. Coral have started offering your stake back as a free bet but this time if your 3/1+ pick  wins . Betfair sometimes have a similar offer. Bet365 have the same offer as Coral but your odds have to be 4/1 or longer to qualify. Other online bookie's like Betfred, sportingbet, S...
